Jambo is a small, cosy restaurant in Windermere, at the heart of the beautiful Lake District. The Proprietors, Kevin and Andrea strive to provide quality food and wines at reasonable prices. They are both fully trained chefs and have worked in the catering industry for 15 years, Kevin is also a Master Chef of Great Britain. (click here for more information).

Jambo is renowned for its friendly atmosphere and excellent service, which has always been of great importance to us and this is why we called the restaurant ‘Jambo’. The word Jambo is a friendly greeting in Swahili meaning 'Hello, Welcome'. We became familiar with this word on our honeymoon in Kenya, where there was always a warm welcome, and we hope you will receive the same welcome at Jambo.
